Forming Teams, Junior Coaches, Ref/SK clinics, Players Looking

CDs-

I know many of you will be working on forming your teams on Webpoint over the holiday weekend. Here is some information that may prove helpful:

- You cannot put a player with a tryout membership on a roster. The tryout membership is designated either by the expiration date of 12/1/11 or by the membership number ending in FMJ12 (girls) or MMJ12 (boys). Full memberships end in FJ12 (girls) or MJ12 (boys).

- Under your eligible players on the batch roster assignment page (Club Mgmt->Team Assignment) you will see jr coe: NO for your players. Don't worry about this. Only coaches need a code of ethics on file (see below for more info on this).

- If you cannot find someone within your club in Webpoint, chances are they haven't picked your club. They must choose your club from the dropdown. Here are instructions on how to do that (for the member - you as a Club Director cannot do that for them): http://badgervolleyball.org/registration-help_11_458894975.pdf

- Be sure to review the Webpoint Manual: http://badgervolleyball.org/handbooks.php

- Reminder for the super-secret Badger Region login so that if someone insists they have upgraded and picked your club but you still can't find them, you can use this login for Webpoint to see their membership and club affiliation:
Email Jen for this info - it was included in the email on Nov. 22.

- If you're using high school seniors as assistant coaches (they MUST be a senior, per the Badger Region rules, found on page 9 of the handbook), they also must sign a Junior Club Personnel Code of Ethics (JCPCOE). If they aren't prompted for this, or if they don't see it at the top of their Webpoint screen when logging in, it was attached to the email sent Nov. 22. We must have this signed and on file before we can mark that we've received it, and you can then put them on a roster (after Impact). Fax (414-443-1127), email or mail (7001 W Center St., Wauwatosa WI 53210). They will need a background screen once they turn 18.

- The Club Dues Payment Form can be found here: http://badgervolleyball.org/forms.php If your coaches have paid online, don't worry about the right column. That is only for those clubs who will be paying for their coach memberships via check to the office.

- If your club wants to host a scorekeeping/work crew clinic ($100), contact Jim Momsen (badgerrefchair@yahoo.com) with potential dates and sites and he will work with you on a clinician. Remember, you must either host a clinic or send a representative to a clinic to then return to teach your club how to referee/scorekeep. You as the club director are responsible to make sure this gets done and your players know what they're doing! Here's a list of club-hosted clinics, more will be posted (scroll down): http://badgervolleyball.org/clinics-referee-and-scorekeeper.php

I encourage you to check the Players Looking for Clubs section of the website to see if there are any players that you can use in any fashion: http://badgervolleyball.org/junior-players-looking-for-teams.php

Both Colleen and I will be checking email this weekend but the office will be technically closed Thursday and Friday.
