CDs-
Just another reminder (same as last year): the membership cards in Webpoint for those members who picked the $10 tryout membership won't become available to print until Nov. 1. The membership is listed as PENDING until then. This information is on the main page of our website and on the Webpoint confirmation that people get, however I am still getting TONS of questions about this. If you could also let people know at your meetings and on your websites, I would greatly appreciate it. The language from our website:
Parents! Please read!
If you have signed your child up for a $10 tryout membership, you will not be able to print the new membership card until Nov. 1. If you need to register for tryouts prior to Nov. 1, the email confirmation you received will be conducive for proof of membership. Please click here and scroll down for many other Webpoint registration FAQs: http://badgervolleyball.org/registration-help.html
This blog will contain the updates also emailed out to the Badger Region Volleyball club directors in case they get behind on their emails, or are looking for information.

Membership card and $10 tryout membership
CAP - 15+ coaches, hotel information, dates, additional incentives for AVCA Signup
Hi Club Directors-
We've gotten a couple of questions regarding an additional discount if your club brings 15 or more coaches to CAP. I've talked with the executive committee and we've decided to give an additional $200 back if 15 or more coaches from the same club register and attend CAP. This will be run through Badger Region, not USAV, so we'll look at the attendance sheets after the clinic and give the rebate based on that. All told, that's $500 back (including the $20 off for four or more). PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GROUP REGISTRATION DISCOUNT IS ONLY OPEN UNTIL NOVEMBER 1. After Nov. 1, the discount is no longer applied and the overall price also rises.
Also, as was included in the original email, Badger Region will cover hotels for Saturday night for coaches traveling further than 90 miles. The hotel is the Milwaukee Marriott West (W231 N1600 Corporate Court · Pewaukee, Wisconsin 53186 USA). Those wishing to be covered by Badger Region must email Colleen Houk at colleen@badgervolleyball.org with the coach name and club name. Those wishing to room together (2 to a room) should email together, otherwise the coach will be placed with another single coach.
Those wishing to stay at this hotel inside of the 90 miles, here is the link: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/mkemw-milwaukee-marriott-west/?toDate=12/4/11&groupCode=bddbdda&fromDate=12/2/11&app=resvlink The rate is $85. This is NOT a Stay to Play event ( :) ) so you may stay where you'd like, but this is a facility we've used in the past and we know.
Also, on the pricing structure, you will notice there is a discount for those who are also AVCA members. If this is in your budget, I would suggest looking into this. In addition, I have talked with the CAP office and for those coaches who have the CLUB COACH AVCA member for $70, in addition to the $30 CAP I discount, you will also receive a Molten RWB ball ($35 value) plus a red or blue Mizuno polo shirt ($35) for a total value of $100. This is in addition to the CAP t-shirt that you'll get. The value to the CAP II coach would be $85. The details will be up on the CAP website shortly, but they'll need a copy of the AVCA membership receipt and polo shirt size, and the items would be here for us to hand out at the clinic.
Here is the Badger CAP listing: http://usavolleyball.org/events/8446
Also, if this weekend is bad for you as far as attendance and you still want CAP, Iowa Region is holding a class the following weekend (Dec. 10-11 in Des Moines). Here's that listing: http://usavolleyball.org/events/8677
And there's your Monday CAP wrap-up. Have a great week and good luck to those coaches and athletes participating in playoffs!

Impact Dates / Registration
CDs:
Below please find the dates for Impact clinics. We are also currently working on Madison and Eau Clarie clinics, and are able to add additional clinics in various locations if the demand is there. There will be regular Impact (without the court time) scheduled in January, but we encourage all new coaches to take the Impact Plus class with the court time. The registration form can be found on the Badger Region website.
As a reminder, coaches who have not been Impact certified are unable to be placed on rosters in Webpoint. Once a coach attends a clinic, we will get that Impact noted in their Webpoint roster as soon as we get the attendance roster from the clinician (normally the following Monday).
Additionally, Colleen Houk has started part time in the office in October as the new Operations Manager (formerly my position as Member Services Coordinator), so please send these registrations to her, along with any requests for Certificates of Insurance. Her Badger Region email is colleen@badgervolleyball.org

Growing Boys VB
CDs-
We're putting in for a grant from USAV to help grow boys vb. As a girls club, what would you need/want/like to start a boys 14 and under program? Clinics? Resources? Advertising? Funds - for what purpose? Boys clubs - what would help you continue to grow?
I apologize for the short notice but please get back to me asap with this as I'd like to get this in before I leave for Denver on Friday. There are only two grants available nationwide and they're going to be pushing for it at the meetings, and I'd like to have one secured already by then.
